Frizzy hair is basically dehydrated (loss of water) hair. The hairs become porous and lose its natural ability to hold moisture and become uneven and untamed. In frizzy hair, the cuticle layers are not held tightly together and thus the texture of hair becomes brittle and coarse.

Frizzy hair in whichever form you have it, is because the cortical layers have been deprived of proteins and moisture. Your hair requires its natural oils from the scalp of your head to smoothen it. For this to happen, you should not shampoo on a daily basis as this will wash away the natural oils from your scalp which actually have a positive nourishing effect.

The very best way to prevent hair frizz is to prevent it from happening in the first pace. And you do this by using a powerful herbal oil like Mira oil. It is a deep oil treatment that will keep your scalp moist which will stop the frizz. Use the oil twice a week and this would be enough to stop the drying process.

Frizzy hair doesn’t discriminate. It plagues both the thin and thick haired alike. If your hair has even the slightest wave or curl, it’s susceptible to frizz. This article details the six critical things you can do to launch a full-on assault on those unruly frizzies along with a list of things not to do.

For the best frizz fighter, go the extra mile and visit a salon or beauty retailer to see what products they carry. They might be a bit pricier, but salons tend to offer a high-quality selection that will get the job done, so you’ll end up saving money instead of spending the time sorting through the ones that don’t work.

Rinse with Cold Water: After you’ve washed your hair, give your locks a cool treat and rinse it again with cold water. This will help to lock in the moisture minimizing the appearance of split ends and therefore frizz.

Protect from direct exposure to the sun. The sun causes tremendous damage and can result in fly-away and poor manageability. Just wearing a hat when going out in the sun will protect and keep your style healthier.

Egg yolk not a lot of people realize this but this sticky and smelly thing can actually be the one to solve all your hair problems. Egg yolk, when used in your hair, makes it shiny and soft and more manageable. All you have to do is spread the yolk to your hair and make sure to massage it. Leave it for about 15 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

The most important thing to keep in mind when dealing with curly hair is to avoid drying it out. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. The curlier hair is, the more care needs to be taken with it. Flat irons will indeed bring curl under control, but unless a great deal of care is taken, flat ironing can quite easily damage hair, and long term can even lead to baldness.

Dry hair lacks the oil and moisture it needs to give it sheen and a soft texture. As a result, hair that’s dry will be brittle and dull and have a straw-like texture. Most of us will get dry hair at one point or another either due to over-processing or exposing it to sun, wind and chlorinated swimming pools.

The use of hard water for bathing can cause dry hair and a dry scalp. Are you aware that hard water can trigger scalp eczema or dandruff, thinning hair, and dry flaky skin? You need to be careful when you go to a salon and have your hair treated. It could be possible that hard water is used.

One of the main things that causes dry hair is the sun. You know how your skin drys out after you spend some serious time outside? Well, the same thing happens to your hair. It’s not quite as obvious or painful but it’s true. The nasty UV rays that cause sunburn and skin cancer also cause dry and damaged hair.

The primary causes of dry hair can be narrowed down to two incidents: One, lack of sebaceous gland production – sebum oils produced by skin glands or two, over-styling and heat damage. Sebaceous glands produce hair oils – sebum – and are associated with all glands of the skin, including the scalp.

Heat is the number one enemy of your hair. It causes the moisture in the strands to evaporate. Thus, one of the most important parts of caring for your dry hair is being aware of not subjecting your hair to too much heat. This is to lock in the moisture as much as possible.

Dry hair, scalp and dandruff are the end results of certain elements that rid the natural oils your body is producing so that the oils can reach your hair and skin. Nobody is born with damaged hair, so you must think about this when trying to recapture or get back your healthy scalp.

The scalp and hair however, were not designed to withstand a consistent stream of hot air more than 40 degrees Celsius. We are talking of course of the humble yet violent blow dryer. The blow dryer may have been useful to Hollywood stars, theater actors and hair stylists for the past few decades, but the fact remains that it damages the hair.

Eat healthy. This is probably the best thing you can do to bring back life to your hair. Hair is dry because there is not enough sebum produced in hair follicles. To maintain the natural moisturizing abilities of the scalp, it is advisable to include fish such as salmon or try some flaxseed oil in your diet. Food rich in zinc, like oysters, is also good for the hair.

Environmental causes of dry hair basically include anything that happens to your hair that comes from the earth. The most common one is easily the sun. Powerful, unfiltered UV rays can have some very negative effects on the hair and scalp. You should treat your hair like you treat your skin. Use a shampoo or hair care product with UV protection.

Vitamin and mineral deficiencies do not always show up as major health problems. This is because most of us are not deficient in one single nutrient. So we don’t have diseases such as scurvy (which results from a severe lack of Vitamin C). What we are more likely to have is what is called a ‘subclinical’ or marginal deficiencies.

The signs and symptoms of a vitamin deficiency will vary according to each one. For example, a deficiency in vitamin A will produce fatigue, acne, certain skin problems, night blindness, and eyesight problems; while a vitamin E deficiency symptoms will include impotency, poor wound healing, and enlarged prostate gland, and gastrointestinal disease among others.

vitamin D deficiency resulted in rickets. Scientists determined the minimum amount of vitamin D and the government set the US Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). Vitamin D was added to milk so the average child drinking the amount of milk recommended by the average pediatrician was guaranteed to get enough of the vitamin to prevent rickets, and we all were to live happily ever after.

Bad Diets: Along with fast paced lives, many of my patients depend on take-out and fast-foods. These foods tend to be high in carbohydrates which deplete B vitamins. They don’t eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables that provide good sources of B vitamins. Many people have stopped eating meat, especially red meat, which is one of the best, most absorbable sources of B12 that exists.

Bone Problems:- Being deficient in vitamin D and K can lead to various bone related problems. A vitamin D deficiency can cause rickets and osteomalacia (two conditions which cause your bones to become soft and bend, swell and fracture more easily). Not getting enough vitamin K can lead to osteoporosis (a condition where your bones density is reduced meaning that they are more likely to fracture).

Vitamin A deficiency causes impaired vision, softening and destruction of the cornea, respiratory and digestive infections, hypertension, hair loss, enamel hypoplasia, dry eyes and rough skin. This vitamin is usually found in beef liver, cantaloupe melon, broccoli, mango, papaya, persimmon, spinach, butter and eggs.

Vitamin C, found in green vegetables, berries and citrus fruits, helps prevent infection, enhances immunology and can help prevent cancer. A lack of Vitamin C can cause anemia, bleeding gums, muscle degeneration and blood clots. A deficiency in Vitamin D affects the bones, heart, kidneys and the thyroid gland. Common symptoms are irregular heartbeat, Osteoporosis and brittle and fragile bones.

Vitamin D deficiency means that the body is not able to naturally rebuild cartilage in your joints when it is worn away. This leads to a more rapid development of arthritis. A deficiency of vitamin D can also lead to bone diseases such as osteoporosis and rickets, so it is recommended that young babies are given vitamin D supplements if they are breast fed as breast milk will not provide them with sufficient vitamin D.

Having a balanced, healthy, clean food is the best way to prevent vitamin deficiency. You may have to take vitamin supplements even if are having a balanced diet. There are chances that you may miss some essential vitamins. Having vitamins also have an advantage that they can supplement your body with certain minerals and nutrients if they are lacking in the diet.

Unfortunately the causes of dermatitis are poorly understood and are still the subject of active research. Modern research is showing that it develops as a result of interaction between our immune system, the environment, and genetics. The immune systems of the people with this condition are very sensitive and they are more prone to react to irritants and allergens.

The main reason for Seborrheic dermatitis hair loss is the excessive secretion of sebum. Sebum creates a favorable environment for the fungus Pityrosporum ovale. The fungus along with bacteria causes skin inflammation and irritation. Due to this, the hair follicles get damaged and the hair starts falling.

When it comes to the treatments of contact dermatitis, it is not enough that you get to be familiar with the popular treatments that you could put on your skin but also, it would greatly help if you would avoid certain things that could trigger the skin irritation.

Avoiding detergents which could be very harmful for your skin, avoiding different kinds of harmful chemicals, and keeping away from hot water would greatly help when it comes to managing contact dermatitis.

Dermatitis is a general term that describes an inflammation of the skin, accompanied by redness and itchiness. The differences between dermatitis & eczema are not always easy to spot since the conditions are very similar. Dermatitis is an allergic reaction to a substance, such as a chemical in soaps or makeup, that comes in contact with the skin.

Eczema, on the other hand, is often the result of allergies, asthma or hay fever.

Seborrheic dermatitis is also often known as dandruff, eczema or cradle cap. When you have seborrheic dermatitis, you experience a change in the skin texture on your scalp. This will include either greasy or oily areas over the scalp or white flakes that are coming from your scalp. You are also likely to experience itching and redness in the scalp area, and also hair loss.

No particular cause is known for Seborrhoeic Dermatitis except that it may be caused by yeast. In this disease this yeast multiplies and skin becomes red and flakes with itching. The yeast loves warm areas full of sebum. Scalp is one of its favorite places.

Causes of dermatitis may involve a number of genetic factors, health conditions, irritants and allergies, physical and mental stresses. Working under wet conditions is one of the main causes of dermatitis. Contact dermatitis results from direct contact with one of many possible irritants.

Hormones may be a factor in seborrheic dermatitis as can a fungus called malassezia. This fungus, normal to the skin, can increase during illness, high stress, and other triggers. With such increases, skin problems result, including seborrheic dermatitis.

Dermatitis is aggravated by dehumidified air, especially during winter months when forced-air heat circulates in the home. Since dry air tends to aggravate the itching of eczema or dermatitis, keeping indoor air moist should be a primary concern of sufferers and their families. You can counter dry air with a good humidifier, but you really need a big unit to do any good. If you sleep next to it however, that’s ok. Put it next to your bed.

Regain hair loss with the best hair loss products on the market, natural hair restoration products can help you to combat your losing battle with receding hair, and the best part is these products use natural herbs and vitamins that are not only important for healthy and shiny hair, but they are also important for the overall health of you and your body.

Alopecia is the medical term for hair loss. Alopecia Areata is the most common form of an unusual auto-immune skin disease resulting in patchy hair loss on your scalp. It usually starts with a small patch of hair loss and continues with one or more small, round patches of hair loss on your head.

This increase of hair growth however is not the same as the re-growth of hair that is lost due to genetic female hair loss or male pattern baldness. Clinical trials now suggest that if a follicle is not completely damaged or clogged, laser therapy can re-stimulate the follicular process, and hair re-growth can be achieved. Some well respected physicians believe that LLLT can even provide marginal benefit for men and women suffering from androgenic alopecia (genetic baldness).

This is the most common cause of thinning and affects both men and women. Men generally have hair loss concentrated in a specific pattern from the front through to the crown. Women tend to have thinning throughout their head without being in any specific pattern. This type of hair loss is caused by the androgen ,orDihydrotestosterone.

If you are looking in the mirror every day, hair loss is a very gradual process that is very hard to notice. Often someone will suddenly see the back of his head and realize that he has this thinning or bald spot in the middle of his hair. But most people don’t take notice until they have lost lots of hair. Some people are obsessed with their hair and come in all paranoid when they start losing just a little.

Improper care of the hair like pigtails and tight hair rollers that pull the hair can cause hair loss called traction alopecia. Normally, if pulling doesn´t leave scars on the scalp, hair re-grows but once scarring occurs, this can cause permanent baldness.

A genetic predisposition may be aggravated by factors such as infections, food allergies, temperature, irritating chemicals, stress and humidity. In response to extreme temperature and humidity, dermatitis tends to flare-up. sweating and psychological stress are other causes of dermatitis flare-ups.

To prevent all of the above side effects, it is best to chose natural hair loss remedies.. For instance, Saw Palmetto is a natural DHT inhibitor, which is not simply cheaper than profitable drugs but as well has no side effects. Presently there are herbal remedies accessible in the marketplace, the main ingredient of which is Saw Palmetto.

Some of the vitamins and nutrients you want working for your hair include; Saw Palmetto- a natural and powerful anti-androgen that blocks 5 alpha-reductase and limits DHT absorption. Zinc- which is essential for the normal functioning of our immune system and for healthy hair and nail formation.

As the parent of a child suffering from hair loss, you want the safest solution to your child’s problem. However there is a lot of conflicting data on the web.The good news is that in many children with alopecia hair loss, a small patch can correct itself without treatment. In many children it reverses on its own and may be gone for ever. In some cases the childs alopecia may return at a later date. There is currently no way of being certain.

Alopecia areata – is another form of hair loss that affects children. It appears as suddenly bald patches on the scalp. There can be just a few of these patches or in some cases the loss of hair on the entire head (alopecia totalis), as hair falls out from the root. This is not a life-threatening disorder though, and the majority of children who develop it grow hair back within a year.

Kids who are suffering from this condition experience tremendous loss of hair in any of the 3 sections of the scalp, minus the scaling of the scalp or any redness. Some children who are experiencing this condition are found to have pitting of the nails. There is no dependable treatment for alopecia children, although, most children with this condition will grow their hair back within a year on their own.

Other causes of hair loss in kids can be traction alopecia and trauma to the individual. Traction alopecia is a condition where the hair is consistently rubbed or pulled, resulting in stress at the hair shaft. Hair will then cease to grow in the spot frequently disturb or the hair has a tendency to break of cease to grow due to pressure of hairstyles.

Sometimes, children are afflicted with a condition where they are not able to control hair pulling. Due to this uncontrollable action, a massive amount of hair is often lost.

Trichotillomania was thought to be a rare condition in the past but recently, more and more physicians have diagnosed this condition.

Loose Anagen Syndrome

This type of hair loss is most typical in small children with sparse fine hair that can easily be pulled out. It mostly affects girls with light hair. The hair usually does not grow past the nape of the neck. Under a microscope the hairs appear to lack an inner and outer root sheath and have a ruffled cuticle.

Other ways that you as a parent can help prevent your child from hair loss is by being careful when styling their hair. For teenagers, encourage them to practice hair-friendly styles. Hair follicles are sensitive. With too much pulling and tugging, they will come out. That is why it is important to brush the hair slowly and softly.

The healthiest way to help you child cope with hair loss is to encourage them to talk about their feelings. BY discussing their feelings surrounding the entire situation, the easier it will be for them to come to understand and come to terms with the hair loss. It is especially important for them to feel free to discuss their fears and concerns about the hair loss as well as coping techniques.

Read about hair loss solutions, and also read about hair loss growth and Hair Loss Prevention

Split ends are one of the most common complaints that hairdressers hear with almost every person reporting some level of split ends affecting their hair. Split ends, known as also as trichoptlosis, is basically when the hair cuticles become damaged and the hair literally begins to unravel around the cortex or inner section of the hair strand.

We are all familiar with split ends also known as Trichoptlosis and it happens when the hairs protective cuticle is removed. Split end are the result of chemical products such as hair color, relaxers etc. It can also be cause by styling products such as blow dryer, heat iron etc.

All women with any hairstyle are conscious about their hair. Still, an additional worry which the women with long hairs suffer is about split ends. As hairs grow, their ends tend to split into two or rarely three. If kept un-noticed these splits tend to progress in an upward direction. Once split ends develop, their only solution is to cut them. No known remedy works for them.

Don’t brush when wet. Wet hair is much more fragile than dry hair, so towel dry your hair first before brushing. When brushing use a wide toothed comb or a soft bristle brush avoid nylon bristles at all costs. If you have long hair don’t try to comb out knots you will only cause more damage. Its best to separate tangled hair into sections and then untangle your hair with your fingers.

If your hair is often exposed to harsh chemical treatments (such as coloring, relaxing or rebonding), it looses moisture easily, making it prone to breakage. Make it a point to relax your hair in between treatments. Wait at least a month or so after, before you undergo another treatment. Another tip: don’t color and relax your hair at the same time.

The best way to conquer split ends is to prevent them from occurring in the first place! However, this is also the hardest thing to implement. You’ll need to limit your use of heat styling tools and protect your hair from elements such as wind and sun as well as poor hair accessories. Keep your hair from becoming dry.

By following these tips, you can help prevent and get rid of broken. The only way to get rid of broken in your hair to your plate ends. Just remember to get your hair trimmed every six weeks to maintain the division ends immediately. You can also find advice on how to prevent such damage online and picking up on the net for more resources.

Carefully snip into the twist with sharp scissors. Don’t cut right through; just cut into the thickness to remove the damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect.

Spray the beer: If you do not get any respite from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

Hair loss problem is a universal problem and there is possibly no one under the sky who never undergoes through this problem in entire life time. Although hair loss is a common issue that has become an embarrassing problem for unisex, but female hair loss pattern largely differs from male ones.

A common condition, that may cause hair loss in infants is cradle cap. Cradle cap mainly affects infants between the ages of two to six months; causing a crusty, scaling scalp rash. Left untreated, cradle cap often clears up within several months. In severe cases it can cause itching and hair loss, and may also spread to other areas of the body.

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition which causes hair to fall out in patches. Alopecia areata can progress to alopecia totalis – total loss of scalp hair, or alopecia universalis – loss of all scalp and body hair. With alopecia areata the affected hair follicles lie dormant but remain alive. People with this condition have been known to re-grow hair in patches that have been bald up to ten years.

Alopecia prematura is another form of hair-loss that causes a young person to lose their hair without preliminary graying. This is caused mostly by an oily skin condition known as seborrhea. Heavy discharge from your sebaceous glands gives rise to seborrhea, which may in event result in acne outbreaks.

Propecia works on the main cause of hair loss by significantly reducing the amount of DHT. DHT is a a chemical that shrinks the hair follicle until no hair grows. Propecia actually inhibits the formation of DHT in your scalp. Lowering DHT inhibits the further shrinking of affected hair follicles.

Telogen Effluvum is usually a temporary condition. Stress, childbirth, taking certain medications, an illness and rapid weight loss can all have a detrimental effect on the hair growth cycle; some hair follicles prematurely enter the resting phase where they stay for three months after which time they are shed. In some cases the person recovers from the event before the hair loss occurs.

Anagen Effluvium

Hair loss occurring due to chemotherapy or radiation treatments is known as Anagen Effluvium. In this case, the hair loss is sudden, but this is usually a temporary condition and is most cases hair will grow back once the chemical/radiation treatment is finished.

Hair Loss Is Caused By Stress

Under very rare circumstances there are occasions where certain types of stress can cause sudden hair loss but what this myth is really referring to is the prolonged kind of stress which most of us suffer from having to meet deadlines, get the kids to school on time, pay the mortgage etc. This type of stress is not related to the onset of, for example, male pattern baldness (MPB) – although the reverse is usually true!

Perhaps the most important factor in hair is how almost every single one of the conditions described above affect the sebaceous gland and it secretion of the lubricating sebum. What happen 99% of the time, whether the papilla’s production of keratin is disrupted by the genetic balding messages carried in DHT, or the hair shaft has suffered breakage from too much bleaching, sebum begins to build up in the follicle.

Eating healthy is always an important thing you should do for the sake of your body. It’s even more important if you’re losing your hair to get the proper foods into your diet. You see there are certain nutrients in some foods that are extremely good for promoting hair growth.

One way to easily trigger the growth of your hair is by eating nuts. Of course much more can be used as a means of stimulating hair growth, but nuts make for great snacks. It’s the protein and nutrient omega-3 that pecans, cashews as well as almonds contain that make them so good for you.

Dark Green Veggies: Are you eating your veggies. Vegetables, especially dark green ones like spinach and broccoli are the perfect foods for hair growth. They contain vitamins A & C which is what’s used by your body to produce the natural hair oil sebum.

Iron is beneficial for your hair as well as vitamin C, which keeps the blood vessels in your scalp in tiptop shape. Eat more leafy green veggies such as spinach, collard greens, as well as turnip greens for a healthy amount of iron and vitamin C.

High fibrous foods: The amount of anti-oxidants in high fibrous foods such as fruits and vegetables are high which helps your body to flush out toxins with ease and prevents loss of your beautiful tresses. One should include lots of richly colored fruits and vegetables in their prescribed diet that yield fruitful results.

It takes many natural botanicals, vitamins and minerals to make and keep your hair healthy and growing. If you lack any of these elements it could lead to thin, weak or brittle hair. The key to healthy hair is having an equally healthy body.

Zinc is can be found in just about every cell in the human body. It is needed for cell division and hence important for skin, nails and hair. Studies report that zinc causes increase in hair density and reverses hair loss. Zinc can be found in foods like oysters, nuts and whole grains.

Vitamin C

It is known to offer anti-oxidizing benefits. It is one of the essential vitamins for hair loss problems. It helps maintaining healthy skin and hair. There are plenty of natural foods available that are rich in vitamin C. Citrus fruits, kiwi, strawberries, pineapples, tomatoes, green pepper, red pepper and many others are great source of vitamin C. It is so abundant in nature that you can hardly avoid it in your daily diet.

Healthy and balanced food intake – Keeping your hair on your head depends a lot on the type of food you intake on a daily basis. People that have a known tendency to lose their hair should be sure to have a healthy and correct diet which is made up of wholesome foods. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, vitamins, and grains.

Other dietary requirements that help treat the loss of hair include eating food that has Vitamin B; Folic acid and Vitamin A. Good sources of Vitamin B are whole wheat; soya beans and yeast. Vitamin A promotes the health of the skin and it is derived from pumpkins; carrots; broccoli; liver; milk; eggs and cheese. Folic acid is a Vitamin B that aides in the formation of new cells.
